The idea of having our own period background music for our 30th class reunion was an inspiration of Stephen Adcock. Steve is one of the most knowledgeable oldies/rock/classic rock music enthusiasts I've ever talked to. I picked out the first 79 song titles for our program and made a personal set of 3 cassette tapes from a few CDs, some tape cassettes and some songs from old scratchy vinyl 45 RPM records. The tapes lacked the digital quality that we now have available to us with digital CDs. Stephen took this project to the next level and created a 4 CDs personal set from his own collection of this exact 79 songs selection, plus five of his own song picks to round out the program. We now have an official music program for all future class reunions with quality digital recordings of the songs that where on the radio during our Sophomore, Junior and Senior years; as well as a hit a year from Kindergarten through our Sophomore year.
Listening to this Frankfort Class of 1972
Official
Music Program brings back some great memories. Thanks, Steve
Adcock,
for your compilation efforts, for your love of music and for your
production
work in putting together a great music program for all our future class
reunions. I wish you were here in Frankfort, where we could talk
music on a regular basis and compare songs and artists. I think I
could also turn you into a jazz and blues listener with a little
persuasive
effort. I've added the names of the performing artists to each of
the songs in this program to help everyone visiting this page to get
the
full appreciation for the songs of this period of music for the class
of
1972.
