There is no charge to register at either, but both sites do have an optional low membership fee if you want to access information about the other members of your class who are registered. You cannot Email another classmate without first paying a membership fee after registering. Registration only allows you to see who is already registered and allows paying member classmates to contact you.

    Registration is easy. Pick your state, city, school, class year and answer a few questions about yourself.  (Only answer what you feel comfortable answering.) They only require a name, password (which you will create) and your E-mail address.

    They will immediately E-mail you to give you your password in print and tell you that you are registered properly. You cannot view those classmates who are registered at classmates.com or highschoolalumni.com until you have registered yourself.  I assume this is still how both sites work?
