The Courts and Activity
Sixteen pitching courts with clay, fully cemented walkways and lights.  (12 courts are active, while the four oldest near the creek are inactive.)  The courts once hosted the Indiana State Tournament.  They are the home of the Clinton County Horseshoe Pitchers' Association - President Sam Payne, Vice President Frank Adams and Secretary-treasurer/web site editor Kenny Wolf.  Curt Day Horseshoe Courts are presently holding one NHPA/INHPA horseshoe pitching tournament each year (schedule listed below).  To join the National Horseshoe Pitchers Association of America, see CCHPA President Sam Payne (NHPA member), Frank Adams (NHPA member), Roger Impson (NHPA member) or Kenny Wolf (NHPA member) about how to join and begin pitching in tournaments all over the state of Indiana or out of state.

Weekly League Pitching
The local league pitches at 6:00 PM every Thursday night, during most of the summer weeks.  Week after week, we pitch team doubles matches with three 30 shoes games using COUNT ALL POINTS system and factor in handicaps with our running averages.

We also have a Tuesday night casual league, for whoever shows up, where we pitch 40 shoes with each pitcher pitching his own shoes and walking back and forth to the opposite pit.  Sometimes we pitch doubles with 40 shoes handicaps, other times we pitch singles.  Come out and pitch beside us, talk to us about pitching with us in the league, or just come out and watch us pitch.  There is someone pitching on the Curt Day Horseshoe Courts nearly every day or night of the week during the summertime.
